The year is 2010. The ten-year-old Daniel gets up out of his bed, in the sleepy town of Pallet. "Today, I'm going to start my journey to become the best Pokemon trainer ever."
An hour later, he walks into Professor Oak's lab. "Ah, Danny I've been waiting for you. What Pokemon would you like?" In the forest, he encounters a Pikachu. "I must catch this one." he says to himself. With little trouble, he captures his first Pokemon, Pikachu. Just when he is about to leave the forest he encounters a wild Pidgeot! He knows they do not usually inhabit Viridian Forest, so he sent out Pikachu, knowing that the electric mouse would have an advantage. But Pidgeot was too strong for the fairly weak Pikachu. But quick thinking Daniel sends out his Bulbasaur who surprises the Pidgeot and knocks it out. Ash had just caught his second Pokemon, one that will surely come in handy in the future. Before he heads into Pewter City to fight Brock, he trains his Pokemon so they are strong enough to earn him the Boulder Badge. He then decides to go fishing, in a large river near Pewter City, thinking he might catch a water Pokemon that will help him defeat Brock. He dozes off, since nothing is biting. He wakes up abruptly to see waves crashing all around him, and a giant blur of a Pokemon in the water. After the beast swims off and Daniel gets himself together again, he checked his Pokedex to see what that monster was. I turned out to be a Gyarados, a vicious water Pokemon! He knows they are very dangerous and he is lucky not to have been pulled into the water by the vicious Pokemon. So much excitement in one day for young Danny. He got his first Pokemon, caught a Pikachu and a Pidgeot, saw a Gyrados that was no where near an ocean, all this is his first day as a Pokemon trainer.
